The common denominator of his works is, besides the reference to the cultural landscape, also the attempt to articulate the tension between the actually visible  and the surmised content /motif/ of the painting. The author works with hints of shapes that are lost in the multilayered space of the painting – they exist there only in a form of a hinted glimpse, making us uncertain of what there really is in the picture and what we imagine to see it in through our own perception and associations. By declaring the imagined and never totally uncovered content, these images draw us into a special game of hide-and-seek, through which we suddenly begin to realize our own physical presence.
